Photo Essay Inanimate Objects

I chose this photo because I like how only the glass of flowers is focused and everything in the back is blurred out. The main focus is on the glass because it is on the center. This photo is also easy on the eye with its darker colors. These darker colors also create a contrast and make the reflections and silhouettes of the flowers stand out. In the glass you can also see an inverted reflection of the outside which crates a cool effect with the contrast of blue sky and green trees. This picture has a classical appeal to it due to the wine glass, fruit platter and garden view in the background. I was inspired to take this photo when my nephew brought in flowers for my mom and put them in this glass. He set it on the table right in front me and the way the light hit it caught my eye and made me want to shoot it immediately. I wouldn't anyone touch it until I was done. Inanimate objects are fun to shoot because you can manipulate them to how you want them to look. You can place them in any setting and move them around to get them to hit he right light and have a desirable background. Inanimate objects are also much easier to shoot than moving objects because they are still and don't move when shooting  And that's why I chose this photo for my photo essay because it's an interesting picture altogether and the story behind it is cute and funny.
